Richard Colter, Head of Marketing at Fujitsu Network Communications
Richard Colter is Head of Marketing at Fujitsu Network Communications Inc. His organization is responsible for building and executing marketing strategy across the company’s FNC’s optical, packet, wireless, software, and services portfolios.
Richard’s 25-year telecommunications career includes various leadership positions in the carrier and vendor communities, all supporting critical communications infrastructure for the world’s largest network operators. His experience spans technology solution delivery through business group strategy. His most recent strategy project, prior to joining marketing, delivered an open vRAN private 5G solution targeted at enabling digital transformation in use cases such as advanced manufacturing, smart cities and smart utilities. Rich is also Fujitsu’s board member for the Alliance for Telecom Industry Solutions (ATIS), and completed Fujitsu’s Global Knowledge Institute program, a nine-month executive global leadership development program.
Richard attended the University of Colorado, Boulder and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Outside of the office, he enjoys rule-compliant cycling, fencing (especially against his teenage daughter) and living “This Old House” with more saws, nail guns and other tools than should be legal.
